Custom accounting and invoicing software

We build the software, we do not keep your books: invoicing, bank reconciliation, VAT and exports in the format your accounting firm expects.

Software company — not an accounting firm Paris 8e — team on site Source code — delivered, it is yours

The need

We build the tool, your accounting firm keeps the books

Let us settle the first question straight away: IDEALOGY is a software development company, not an accounting firm. We do not keep your books, we do not prepare your annual accounts and we do not replace your chartered accountant — a regulated profession in France. We build and integrate the software that feeds their work and yours.

The need we deal with is almost always the same: invoicing lives in one tool, bank statements in another, VAT is split by hand in a spreadsheet, and every quarter the accounting firm asks for an export nobody knows how to produce cleanly. The time lost is not in the accounting itself, it is in the retyping between tools.

So we connect those pieces: invoices issued, payments received, imported bank transactions, VAT split by rate and by account, and an export in the format your accounting firm actually expects. We agree that format with them before we write a line of code, not after the first close. You keep your accountant, your chart of accounts and your closing routine: the tool adapts to them, not the other way round.

Features

What we develop

An invoicing core, then the automation that saves whole days of data entry.

Invoices and credit notes

Templates in your own layout, unbroken numbering, configurable legal wording, recurring invoices and credit notes linked to the invoice they correct.

Bank feeds

Statement imports, or a bank connection where one is available. Payments matched automatically against open invoices.

VAT breakdown

Rates, accounts and journals set up to your rules. Entries are split when the invoice is issued, not when the return is due.

Ageing and reminders

Outstanding balance per client, overdue amounts visible at a glance, tiered automatic reminders and tracking of promised payments.

Exports to your accounting firm

The format your firm asks for — entries, journals, FEC, your own CSV — generated in one click, at the agreed frequency.

Permissions and audit trail

Who issued, edited or cancelled what, and when. Separate access for the internal team, for management, and read-only access for your accounting firm.

How we work

How a project runs

Four stages, in this order. Your accounting firm is involved from the first one.

  1. 1

Scoping with you and your accounting firm

We list your documents, your chart of accounts, your rates and the export format expected. The regulatory requirements that apply to your activity are identified at this point.

    1 to 2 weeks
  2. 2

    Mockups and test data

Clickable screens and a test export generated on your own data, sent to your accounting firm for approval before any development starts.

    2 weeks
  3. 3

    Development in batches

Invoicing first, then bank feeds, VAT and reminders. A testable delivery every two weeks, in your order of priority.

    6 to 10 weeks
  4. 4

    Go-live and follow-up

History imported, first close supported, teams trained, then maintenance and new work. The source code is yours.

Example project

A concrete example

Example — to be replaced by a real project

Invoicing and accounting exports for a services company

Three hundred invoices a month issued from a spreadsheet, payments matched by hand and an export reworked every quarter by the accounting firm. We delivered an invoicing tool linked to the bank statement, with the export agreed up front with their chartered accountant.

What custom invoicing software costs

The price depends on document volume and on the number of connections to build. The most common starting point:

Indicative figure. The firm quote is issued as a fixed price after the scoping phase, with no cost per user and no cost per invoice issued.

FAQ

What people ask us most

Are you an accounting firm?

No. IDEALOGY develops software. We do not keep books, we do not prepare financial statements or tax returns, and we do not give tax advice: in France those engagements belong to a chartered accountant registered with the Ordre. We build the tool, your firm keeps its role.

Do you work with our current accountant?

Yes, and it is the best setup. We bring them into the scoping to settle the chart of accounts, the journals and the export format expected, then we ask them to approve a test export on your real data before go-live. They have nothing to change in the way they work.

Do we have to drop our existing accounting software?

Rarely. In most projects the custom tool handles invoicing, incoming payments and the preparation of entries, then feeds the accounting software already in place. We replace that software only if you ask for it explicitly and the scope allows it.

How do you handle regulatory obligations?

We identify them during scoping, with you and your accounting firm: mandatory wording, numbering, document retention, e-invoicing, export formats. Those requirements are part of the priced scope, and your accounting firm remains the authority on how they are interpreted. We put in writing what the software covers and what it does not.
